It might be too hot

After what feels like months of grey, mild and wet days, the sun has finally made an appearance.
And in true British fashion, the inevitable question came up only a couple of days into ‘summer’ – is it too hot?

It’s a tradition we’ve all become very accustomed to, the only real question is who is going to be the first person to ask the question.
But one thing is for sure, the start of summer is always welcome and while it’s taken a little bit of time, it’s the start of something I always enjoy as a videographer…
More outdoor content!
I’d much rather do battle with the glare of the sun than wind, rain, cold, and various wintry elements, which is why outdoor projects in the summer are some of my favourites.
It could be anything from capturing timely content outside your office (the bright sun and the summery attire usually give that away!) to b-roll shots of your office or premises as part of testimonial footage or other content to headshots of your team looking their best in the sunshine.
It all depends on the content you’re producing, though.
If you’re looking to produce content for social media, email, and website update content, you want to be as timely as you can.
But there’s lots of evergreen content that’s great to get in the bank during the summer months, whether you’re out and about at events or simply want to bank footage of your premises looking its best!
All we need to do now is keep our fingers crossed that we’re in for a good summer…
Speak soon,
Ben (The Video Guy)
